Exodus 23 - 25

Brothers and Sisters,
“Do not spread false reports. Do not help a guilty person by being a malicious witness.
2 “Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you give testimony in a lawsuit, do not pervert justice by siding with the crowd, 3 and do not show favoritism to a poor person in a lawsuit. (Exodus 23)
A lot of Christians will be surprised when they realize that spreading false rumors and conspiracy theories on social media is condemned by God. One may feel good and empowered when they share those news, but God doesn't like the spread of rumors. "Do not spread false reports" (Exodus 23:1). Christians cannot share everything they read in social media.
